It's come to my attention that people obviously aren't bothering to look thru the forum when either asking me questions on the PSN or on here, which then makes me feel I'm wasting my time, so to ease the pressure of memorising the entire forum might I suggest bookmarking key threads that may interest you.
When you view a thread, at the top, above the word author you will see 2 options. The option called bookmark allows you to add this thread to a personal list of favourite (or key interest) threads.
Clicking the bookmark option will add the thread to your personal profile, and will be stored under the heading "bookmarks" which you will find next to modify profile, when viewing your profile. Open this link to find a list of all the threads bookmarked.
Now, when logging on, you can simply visit your profile to view these bookmarked threads or simply browse the forum as normal, depending on what you wish to know and how much time you have on your hands.
An additional feature of the bookmarks function is the ability for the forum to either send you a PM or an E Mail when a bookmarked thread receives a new post.
In your profile, click bookmarks and then click manage bookmarks.
If you have no threads bookmarked there will be a drop down box containing notification options. Setting this to either a PM or E Mail notification will count towards all threads bookmarked in the future.
If, however, you already have some threads bookmarked you can set notifications for each thread.
So for example you may have bookmarked the NA and EU Store update threads. You can set these to be notified by PM once the EU thread is updated, and notified by E Mail once the NA store is updated, or you can set them both the same or simply use the drop down box at the bottom of the list to set one notification preference for all bookmarked threads.
Hopefully this will ease the pressure of having to remember where I have stored information around the forum, although with time and regular access you should become accustomed to where pertinent info is stored. It's not like I play musical chairs with threads.
My advice is to bookmark the NA and EU Store update threads, release lists and Firmware Update threads and set these to be notified depending on which you may use more. If you frequent the forum often then set it to PM. If you check your E Mails regularly then choose to be notified via E Mail.
Otherwise just bookmark what you feel you will view the most, as well as any threads you may have personally made, just to keep track of the conversations.
That way you will receive the latest information on updates right after I have posted them and will receive notifications accordingly.
Hope this helps a few of you out.
